Current Projects

The Association For Harbor Arts ...aha! is constantly seeking new and inventive ways to promote the arts in our community. 

Projects are both short and long-term in scope and span a wide variety of outreach including workshop support, major fundraising efforts, grant procurement, scholarship donations, and more.

Five years ago, …aha! recognized a need for a venue for young people in the community who embraced a love of theater. The Young Adult Community Theater was created to provide an opportunity for performance.

Each year a children’s play is selected which reflects fun, information, and lessons to take back to the classroom. The players perform at area elementary schools free of charge. Anxiously anticipated and well received, the YACT presented this year’s play, “The Ukraniacs” to 1300 area students at five area schools.

“The Ukraniacs” is a humorous retelling of three favorite fables from the Ukraine: ‘The Blabbermouth’, ‘The Puff Monster’, and ‘Circo and the Wolf’.

Information about the country’s history, cuisine, costumes, and values are cleverly woven into the action and dialogue.
